Fridge warm, freezer still cold
One of the most common calls. Cold air from the freezer isn’t reaching the fridge side.
Often: a defrost failure or a failed fanFrost or ice building up
Ice on the back wall of the freezer, or frost that keeps coming back, usually means the defrost system has stopped working.

We don’t do sealed-system repairs. If that’s the problem, Tom will explain what he found so you can decide what to do next.

How much does refrigerator repair cost in San Antonio?
The diagnostic visit is $79, and it’s free when you go ahead with any repair. Up to 80% of refrigerator repairs are $155 to $350 in labor, depending on what failed and how long the repair takes. Some cost more, and you always get the price first. Parts are extra and quoted before any work starts. See the full price list.
Why is my refrigerator warm but the freezer is still cold?
This is one of the most common refrigerator problems. It’s often caused by a defrost failure or a failed fan that stops cold air from reaching the fridge side. Tom confirms the cause at the diagnostic visit.
Why is there water or ice in the bottom of my fridge?
Water or a sheet of ice under the crisper drawers usually points to a frozen or failed defrost drain. It’s one of the repairs we do most often.
Do you repair ice makers and water dispensers?
Yes. Tom repairs refrigerator ice makers and water dispensers, including ones that make no ice, make small cubes, or won’t dispense water or ice.
Do you fix compressors or refrigerant leaks?
No. We don’t do sealed-system repairs, which include compressors and refrigerant leaks. If that’s the problem, Tom will tell you honestly so you can decide your next step.

Do you repair freezers too?
Yes. We repair freezers, including upright and chest freezers. Freezer repair is priced about the same as refrigerator repair.
Is the refrigerator repair guaranteed?
Yes. Every repair comes with a 60-day limited warranty on labor and all parts, and OEM parts carry a 6-month warranty through the manufacturer. The warranty covers the same issue we repaired. It doesn’t cover a different part that fails later. For example, if we replace your ice maker and the fan motor goes out later, that’s a new repair.
