Every repair is different. Three things decide where yours lands inside the range.

  • 1What failed. A fuse or a tube is quick. A motor, compressor part or control board takes more time.
  • 2How long the repair takes. Some parts are behind panels that take longer to reach.
  • 3The part itself. Parts are priced separately and depend on your brand and model.

How much is the diagnostic fee?

The diagnostic visit is $79. If you go ahead with the repair, the $79 is waived, so the diagnostic is free.

Do your labor prices include parts?

No. Labor prices do not include parts. Tom quotes the parts and labor together before any work starts, so you see the full price first.

What is the minimum repair charge?

Our minimum labor charge is $145. Small, simple jobs, like a small refrigerator tube leak or a dryer fuse, start at $145.

What do most repairs cost?

Labor runs $145 to $350 depending on the appliance and what failed. Up to 80% of repairs fall in the ranges above; some cost more. Parts are extra.

What if it’s just a tripped breaker or a bad outlet?

There’s no labor charge if the appliance only needs a tripped breaker reset or the problem is a bad outlet. You pay only the $79 diagnostic fee.

Can I get advice over the phone first?

Yes. Call Tom at (210) 209-3029. Phone advice is free, and he’ll tell you honestly if a repair is worth it.

Do discounts apply to parts?

No. Discounts ($10 first-time, $25 military, $25 seniors 65+) apply to labor only, not parts or the diagnostic fee. One discount per repair, and labor can’t go below the $145 minimum.

Is the repair guaranteed?

Yes. Repairs come with a 60-day limited warranty on labor and all parts, and OEM parts carry a 6-month warranty through the manufacturer. The warranty covers the same issue we repaired, not a different part that fails later.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept checks and all major credit cards.

How much does garbage disposal replacement cost?

Our special is $329 for a brand-new OEM KitchenAid ½ horsepower disposal with power cord, professionally installed. We remove your old one, and it comes with a 1-year factory warranty.
