Free: advice by phone or textWe replace, we don’t patch: when a refrigerator ice maker has failed, Tom installs a complete new one. The motor is often burned up or the gears are stripped, and patching an old ice maker leads to repeat problems.

Reviews
What ice maker customers say about Tom.
“Tom did a fantastic job repairing my refrigerator! My ice maker stopped working about 10 months ago and a different company (Sears) said it was a bad control board and said it would cost $1250 to fix it (and told me to just buy a new refrigerator)!! Thank goodness I found TOM TECKI. He replaced the icemaker (it WASN’T the control board) and now I have ice again! He charged me a very reasonable price, and saved me so much money. I highly recommend his services to anyone!”
“Tom actually showed up for my ice maker repair and we received all the benefits you would want from a small business. Squeezed me in same week, was on time, and had a very competitive price. He will be our go to appliance repair from now on.”
Ice maker FAQ
Ice maker repair questions.
How much does ice maker repair cost in San Antonio?
The diagnostic visit is $79, and it’s free when you go ahead with any repair. Refrigerator ice maker replacements usually run $230 to $350 for the new ice maker and labor, all in. Up to 80% of ice maker replacements fall in that range; some cost more. Under-counter ice machine repairs typically run $290 to $690. See the full price list.
Do you repair the ice maker or replace it?
When a refrigerator ice maker has failed, we replace the whole ice maker. The motor is often burned up or the gears are stripped, and patching an old ice maker leads to repeat problems.
Why did my ice maker stop making ice?
Most of the time it’s a bad ice maker. It can also be the water valve or an electrical problem. Tom finds out which at the diagnostic visit, so you only pay for what’s needed.
Why is my ice maker leaking?
A leak can come from the ice maker or from the water valve that feeds it. Tom finds the source at the diagnostic visit and quotes the repair before any work starts.
Which ice makers do you replace most often?
Samsung ice makers in the upper-left corner of the fresh food section are number one, then the hidden upper-cabinet ice makers in Whirlpool and Maytag refrigerators, then LG in-door ice makers.
Do you repair under-counter ice machines?
Yes, KitchenAid and Whirlpool under-counter ice machines only. Repairs typically run $290 to $690.
What are your hours, and how soon can Tom come out?
Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. We can usually come the same or next business day. Call or text (210) 209-3029 to check today’s openings.
Is the ice maker replacement guaranteed?
Yes. Every repair comes with a 60-day limited warranty on labor and all parts, and OEM parts carry a 6-month warranty through the manufacturer. The warranty covers the same issue we repaired. It doesn’t cover a different part that fails later. For example, if we replace your ice maker and the fan motor goes out later, that’s a new repair.
